Eco-hotspots (biodiversity & more natural campus grounds)

Here are numerous examples of how the grounds of the University of Wuppertal have been remodelled to make them more natural, thus actively contributing to biodiversity and environmental protection.

However, many more and different measures are needed to halt the global loss of biodiversity. One decisive factor, which also primarily affects the two issues of drinking water and food availability that are crucial for us humans, is the prevention of further global warming and the associated urgent need to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other climate-relevant gases.
